Designing, burning and printing the CD / DVD for Motherland Music. Their artist Carlou D needed a promo kit. So if you’re at the Womex 2009 you might get one of these. The audio CD sample with the latest mix is just terrific.

Tip 1: Should you burn the CD/DVD then print it ?
Yes! It’s safer and less expensive to to print the CD/DVD then burn it.
This is because printing on anything is more expensive than burning.
Also burning is less reliable than printing. You don’t want to lose a printed CD/DVD because the burning failed.
Tip 2: How long to wait before putting the CD/DVD on its case/envelope?
I let them dry during few hours on a clean table without touching the surface, ever (the only person who is allowed to touch the surface is the client or preferably the user).
It goes without saying it’s not a good idea to manipulate CD/DVD with greasy fingers, eating crumbly biscuits above them.
And I follow this tip with anything I print, especially if it’s on a glossy surface.
